It will have an open forum component where you can share questions and concerns about your practice and how to improve. We will also practice some of the areas that the group wants to improve. Your roles are very important in Muay Thai. As leaders you need to keep improving so your students learn proper Muay Thai from you.

This year the King of Thailand turns 84 and Muay Thai organizations all around the world are paying respect.
This year we celebrate the King of Thailand birthday with our traditional Gala dinner event. The night is to celebrate all of our accomplishments and to bring our Muay Thai community together.

The Gala will take place - Sunday December 4th at the Woodbridge Gym.
Reception 6:30pm and Dinner 7:30pm

We will have: demonstrations, presentations, speeches and awards.

The event is formal. Everyone come dress up and look beautiful. It is our one very special event of the year. Bring cameras as it will be a special night for all.

Most everyone knows someone who has fought against cancer. More and more people are winning the fight. Raising awareness and giving support are things we can do to help win the fight against cancer.

Ajahn Suchart and his female students at Siam No.1 have organized a night to raise money to support the Princess Margaret Hospital.
On November 12th at Siam №1 Woodbridge, strong female athletes from across Ontario will meet to demonstrate Muay Thai in the ring to support the strong women who fight breast cancer in their lives.

Please join us as we work together to celebrate the strength of women and to support the fight for the cure for breast cancer.

Doors open at 5:30 and festivities begin 7pm.

The final match for the 8-man Professional Muay Thai tournament is set to go down Saturday Oct. 22nd at the Century Casino in Calgary, Canada. Matt Embree of Siam No.1 (Toronto, ON), will face off against Josh Palmer from FitPlus Martial Arts (Halifax, NS) in the Main Event of the evening. The winner on the night will go home with $10,000 and the Journey Fight Series Tournament Title.

Matt defeated Rami Ibrahim (Sitan Gym, USA) on March 5th in the quarter finals by unanimous decision in what was awarded the fight of the night. On June 11th in the semi-finals Matt squared off against Coke Chunhawat (Pacific Ring Sports, USA) and came away with a split decision victory and some redemption from his loss to Coke last year (Sep. 2010).

On March 5th Josh Palmer faced Mark DeLuca (Pittsburgh Muay Thai, USA) in their quarter final match-up, Josh looked great on the night and came away with a unanimous decision after 5 rounds. In the semis he faced Justin 'The Purple People Eater" Greskiewicz (Cool Hearts Muay Thai, USA) in an exciting bout, Josh turned it up in the 3rd round and put Justin down with a knee to the body for the win by TKO

There is a good movement towards stronger Muay Thai in Ontario and this was witnessed in Iowa. I am proud of everyone for their work. We must continue to improve our skill and our knowledge and we must maintain proper, traditional Muay Thai.

I would like everyone to reserve the late morning and early afternoon July 10th to attend this seminar to continue to grow and learn and to support one another in the community. As the sport grows, we must keep the sport beautiful and strong.

I want my experienced Kru there and your developing Poo Choi there. This is team building. The focus will be to develop experienced teaching -- more proper technique and exercise. Beyond this we must review the UNDERSTANDING behind these techniques and excercises. This is what makes you qualified, traditional Muay Thai instructors. Everyone has levels to achieve.

This seminar will consist of theory and discussion. Come with questions that are at your level of understanding. Then we will explore practical so you can show your level.

I want to move everyone forward, to improve their level so we can be a better, stronger Ontario team.

Ajahn Suchart and Siam no.1 invite you and your school to celebrate this traditional event for “Father’s of Muay Thai Day

If you do not belong to a school we welcome you to join in the festivities and celebrate the traditional spirit of Muay Thai with Master Suchart. Master Suchart would love to see old and new friends.

This is an event for each school to show case their school in appreciation for their KRU - it is KRU day - to celebrate the leaders of Muay Thai and Ajahn would like to recognize this. The plan is for 4-6 school members to present something such as team Ram Muay, Team Work Out, Teach Technique, Team shadow box and Team Krabi Krabong. Ajahn will feature Muay Boran Kata for this event. Each presentation should be about 5 - 8 minutes long.

$25/pp and will include Thai food.

5 pm -- We will start the event with a ceremony and the teams performing

Schools which support Traditional Muay Thai and Ajahn’s continued selfless teachings are required to be there for the presentations - this is the heart of the event.

Format:
• 8 man tournament style format – single elimination
• All bouts will consist of 5 rounds of 3 minutes (with a 2 minute rest period) of full Muay Thai in,accordance with WMC rules
• Each athlete will compete in the quarter finals on the first event. Winners will advance to semi finals on the second event and ultimately to the grand finale on the last event. Athletes who do not advance may be invited back to compete in professional “superfights” based on their performance.
